She was also on the Demo team at the Europe Regionals 2018.
Inga is always looking for a way to challenge herself, whether by signing up for an Ironman, a 100-km death march, or a Navy Seal hell weekend! Inga has a CF Level 1 & 2 and completed the CrossFit Seminar Staff Internship in 2012. Inga has been coaching CrossFit full-time since 2011.
Inga loves to travel and see the world. Throughout her early education, she attended 13 different schools and lived in seven countries. Inga is originally from Iceland and lives in Belgium with her husband and two boys.
Inga’s passion is helping people become the best and strongest versions of themselves physically and mentally.
What makes you passionate about coaching?
I am passionate about working with athletes who strive to improve mentally and physically. I want to help them reach their full potential in any sport, particularly CrossFit. I want to help people feel and perform their best as athletes and in life.
What aspect is your favorite part?
My favorite part is witnessing my athletes’ wins and seeing them develop more confidence in themselves, enjoy the process, and overcome obstacles with a positive mentality. I also enjoy giving them feedback on their movements and helping them move proficiently.
When an athlete communicates how much you helped them, how does that make you feel?
It makes me extremely proud and happy. That is why I love my job: I get to be part of an athlete’s journey, helping them grow and reach their goals on the competition floor, in training, and life.
How do you see potential in an athlete, and how do you help them unlock that potential?
How is that exciting for you?
Spotting talent and potential in an athlete is an art, which is what a good coach has an eye for. Some athletes need to see their true potential on their own. Earning the athlete’s trust and having good communication are key, as is having confidence in the athlete. Showing your confidence in an athlete will eventually lead to the athlete finally seeing themselves the way a good coach sees their talent, which is the magic that unlocks their full potential. It is the best feeling as a coach!
