What makes you passionate about coaching?
My calling is coaching and helping others become who God calls them to be. God has placed the passion inside me to walk alongside athletes to help them reach their full potential. I get fired up about people finding goodness in their life.
What aspect is your favorite part?
My favorite part of coaching is the relationship building. I love that I get to participate in someone’s journey to become a better athlete and overall person. It’s always so rewarding to see someone else’s growth process.
When an athlete communicates how much you helped them, how does that make you feel?
It’s the best feeling in the world. It solidifies that it’s what I am called to do. Being there for my athletes when they fail is a unique opportunity to care for them through it.
How do you see potential in an athlete, and how do you help them unlock it?
I can spot an athlete’s potential from a mile away. Usually, it always comes back to how they show up: constantly communicating, doing the little things, and wanting to learn. Most of the time, helping them unlock it is helping them become aware of the good they are doing so they can understand how much potential they have.
